1816 – 2016:  200 Years in the making…

23 January 2016 – Riding of the Marches Bonspiel

Club members and some guest will be playing for medals supplied by the Riding of the Marches committee. Four sheets of ice have been booked for the bonspiel, two in the morning and two in the afternoon. A snack lunch will be provided on the day and there will be no charge for ice or food for members and guests. Can you let Audrey know if you are available to play and if your preference would be morning or afternoon. Names please to Audrey by the end of October 2015.

19 February 2016 – Dinner in the Quay Musselburgh

RCC President Billy Howet has confirmed he will be attending the dinner, John O’Neil is our guest speaker and George Machray will entertain us with a few songs. For those of you who attended our AGM this year you will remember George entertained us after the dinner. Drew Johnston has kindly agreed to be Master of Ceremonies.

Finally, the night will be rounded up by a Scottish folk music set by the wonderful Detla who are a well known Musselburgh based band.

MCC members will receive 2 free tickets for the dinner and additional tickets can be purchased at a cost of £30 per person. We have tried to keep the ticket price reasonable and hope that you will bring along a couple of friends to the dinner, I am sure you will all agree that this will be a great night.

Start time for the dinner is 7pm and we expect things to wind down around 11pm although the bar will be open until 1am if you do want to stay on for a few more drinks.

Please contact Audrey with any questions or additional ticket orders.

29 October 2016 – Bonspiel at Kinross

A fun day our for our members and guests has been organised by Alan Traill, there is no cost to members and guests for ice and a snack lunch. A number of our members have already booked dinner and/or an overnight stay. If you would like to book dinner etc or want more information please email Alan Traill.

I do hope you will support the events we are organising to celebrate our bi-centenary next year. Our committee is working hard to make sure that next year will be a success and increase the profile (and hopefully) membership of Musselburgh Curling Club.
